Welcome

Welcome to Kaede House. Named after the Japanese maple trees that surround us and completed in December 2020, our 3 bedroom house is located in Hakuba, just 5 minutes walk from Iwatake ski hill.

Our location is unique, nestled away in the trees away from the noise. After a day of skiing or mountain biking, guests can soak in the nearby onsen only 2 minutes walk away, relax out on the deck in the sun or watch TV in the lounge next to the fire.

Owned by an English and Japanese couple, this house was designed as a family home so rest assured it has all the comforts you'll be looking for on your vacation.

5 minutes walk to Iwatake mountain resort and 2 minutes walk to the onsen means you have some of the best activities on your doorstep in winter and summer.

There are a selection of restaurants nearby and a popular brew pub with a large selection of craft beer also only 5 minutes walk away.

We've lived in Hakuba all year round for since 2013 and are both passionate outdoors people with the knowledge to guide you in the right direction for what your looking for whether it be activities or food, we're here to help.

About Us

We are a Japanese-UK couple with pet dog who have lived in Hakuba year round since 2012.

With both of us being pasionate about the outdoors, we hope to help our guests get the most from their time in Hakuba with our knowledge of the area.
